Modjaz and W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of the Lick Observatory Supernova Search, report the discovery with the 0.8-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) of a supernova in NGC 664. SN 1999eb was discovered on an unfiltered image taken on Oct. 2.4 UT (mag about 16.2) and was confirmed on earlier images taken on Sept. 29.4 (mag about 16.8), 22.4 (mag 18.0), and 19.4 (at the limiting mag of 19.0). The new object is located at R.A. 1h43m45s.45, Decl. +4 13'25".9 (2000), which is 4".8 west and 4".1 north of the nucleus of NGC 664. A KAIT image of the same field on Sept. 13.4 (limiting mag about 19.0) showed nothing at the position of SN 1999eb. SN 1996bw and SN 1997W also appeared in NGC 664. IAUC 7268 (extract) SUPERNOVA 1999ec IN NGC 2207 Modjaz and Li also report the discovery of an apparent supernova in NGC 2207 by the LOSS on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Oct. 2.5 and 3.5 (both with SN 1999ec at mag about 17.9). SN 1999ec also appeared on an image taken on Sept. 20.5 (mag about 17.5). The new object is located at R.A. 6h16m16s.16, Decl. -21 22'09".8 (2000), which is 81".7 west and 12".1 north of the nucleus of NGC 2207. A KAIT image of the same field on 1998 Oct. 14.5 (limiting mag about 19.0) showed nothing at the position of SN 1999ec. SN 1975A also appeared in NGC 2207, which is a galaxy interacting with IC 2613. IAUC 7268 SUPERNOVA 1999ed IN UGC 3555 Modjaz and Li also report their discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 17.8) on Oct. 5.5 UT with the 0.8-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT). SN 1999ed is located at R.A. = 6h50m00s.95, Decl. = +25o37'54".5 (2000), which is 17".4 east and 9".0 south of the nucleus of UGC 3555. A KAIT image taken on 1998 Nov. 21 showed nothing at the position of SN 1999ed (limiting mag 19.5). IAUC 7270 (extract) SUPERNOVA 1999ee IN IC 5179 J. Maza, University of Chile; and M. Hamuy, University of Arizona, report the discovery by M. Wischnjewsky, on a 20-min unfiltered T-Max 400 film taken by L. Gonzalez on Oct. 7.15 UT with the University of Chile's Maksutov telescope, of a supernova (m_pv about 17.5) located at R.A. = 22h16m09s.40, Decl. = -36o50'31".5 (2000), which is about 10" east and 10" south of the nucleus of IC 5179. The supernova was confirmed by P. Candia from B,V,I images taken with the Cerro Tololo 0.9-m telescope on Oct. 8.12. IAUC 7272 (extract) COMET C/1999 T1 (McNAUGHT-HARTLEY) Robert H. McNaught, Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Siding Spring Observatory, reports his discovery of a comet on a plate taken by Malcolm Hartley with the 1.2-m U.K. Schmidt Telescope. The strongly condensed comet showed a 8" coma and a very faint 1' tail in p.a. 320 deg. 1999 UT R.A.
