Unfortunately action on incoming e-mails has suffered such that at this time the editor is running about 840 e-mails behind in reading and sending replies where needed. Again messages marked urgent have been dealt with on the second computer. If anyone has an urgent message not yet answered please re-send with 'urgent' mentioned in the subject line. SUPERNOVA 1999ga IN NGC 2442 S. Woodings, R. Martin, and A. Williams, Perth Observatory, report their discovery of an apparent supernova (R about 18) on Nov. 19.76 UT in the course of the Perth Astronomy Research Group's automated supernova search with the Perth-Lowell 0.61-m reflector. J. Biggs and A. Verveer provide the following position for SN 1999ga from two unfiltered CCD images obtained on Nov. 22.54 with the 0.25-m Mike Candy Telescope at Perth Observatory: R.A. = 7h36m16s.70 +/- 0s.03, Decl. = -69o33'21".8 (2000.0), which is about 38" west and 91" south of the centre of NGC 2442; the magnitude of the new star was estimated as 18.5 +/- 1. IAUC 7316 SUPERNOVA 1999gb IN NGC 2532 A. Friedman and W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of the Lick Observatory Supernova Search, report the discovery with the 0.8-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) of an apparent supernova in NGC 2532. SN 1999gb was discovered and confirmed on unfiltered images taken on Nov. 22.4 (mag about 16.1) and 23.4 UT (mag about 15.9). SN 1999gb is located at: R.A. = 8h10m13s.70, Decl. = +33o57'29".8 (2000), which is 18".6 west and 6".2 north of the nucleus of NGC 2532. IAUC 7316 (extract) SUPERNOVA 1999gc IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY J. Maza, University of Chile; and M. Hamuy, University of Arizona, report the discovery by R. Antezana, on a 20-min unfiltered T-Max 400 film taken by L. Gonzalez on Nov. 10.25 UT with the University of Chile's Maksutov telescope, of a supernova (mpv about 17.5) located at: R.A. = 1h05m10s.87, Decl. = -20o17'48".1 (2000), which is 6".7 west and 10".7 north of the nucleus of the host galaxy. The supernova was confirmed by L.-G. Strolger (University of Michigan) from B,V,R,I images taken with the Cerro Tololo 1.5-m telescope on Nov. 16. IAUC 7317 (extract) SUPERNOVA 1999gd IN NGC 2623 W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of the Lick Observatory Supernova Search, with the 0.8-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT), reports the discovery of an apparent supernova in NGC 2623. The supernova was discovered and confirmed on unfiltered images taken on Nov. 24.5 (mag about 17.8) and 25.6 UT (mag about 17.4), respectively. The new object is located at: R.A. = 8h38m24s.61, Decl.= +25d45'33".1 (2000), which is 7".3 east and 17".4 north of the nucleus of NGC 2623. IAUC 7319 (extract) Guy M Hurst
