TA AGM 2000
This event will take place on Saturday 2000 October 7 at
St. Mary's Church Hall, Basingstoke. More details will follow but
please make a note of this date in your diaries!

POSSIBLE AURORAL STORM
We have tonight received an e-mail from NASA indicating an
interplanetary shock wave from a solar coronal mass ejection is
expected to pass the Earth on Thursday June 8, possibly triggering
aurora at middle-latitudes.

Please e-mail any sightings to Tom McEwan with copies to the main
editor.

V493 LYRAE
Gary Poyner, Birmingham, England reports his detection of an
outburst of V493 Lyr a star on the recurrent objects programme.
This has been confirmed by Gene Hanson, Cave Creek, Arizona
using a 0.46-m reflector:

7.208, 14.3 (Hanson)
