POSSIBLE AURORAL STORM We have tonight received an e-mail from NASA indicating an interplanetary shock wave from a solar coronal mass ejection is expected to pass the Earth on Thursday June 8, possibly triggering aurora at middle-latitudes. V493 LYRAE Gary Poyner, Birmingham, England reports his detection of an outburst of V493 Lyr a star on the recurrent objects programme.
