Beckmann and W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of the Lick Observatory Supernova Search report the discovery with the 0.8-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) of an apparent supernova on unfiltered images taken on Sept. 18.3 (mag about 16.0) and 19.2 UT (mag about 15.8). The new object is located at R.A. = 1h07m23s.52, Decl. = +32o24'23".2 (2000), which is 5".3 west and 8".7 north of the nucleus of NGC 382. A KAIT image of the same field taken on Sept. 11.3 already showed a hint of SN 2000dk, while an image taken on Sept. 6.3 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag about 19.0). IAUC 7493 (extract) V452 CASSIOPEIAE (Q2000/287) Chris Jones, Laindon, England, reports his detection of an outburst of the recurrent object V452 Cas on 2000 Sept 20.928UT at mag 15.1v. Gary Poyner, Birmingham, confirmed the brightening with a visual estimate of 15.2 on Sept 20.951UT. Taichi Kato, Japan, reports that the VSNET Collaboration Team have detected clear superhumps. Hitoshi Yamaoka, Japan, reports astrometry: RA 01h11m07.25s DEC +33 32'36.1"(2000)
