Object apparently diffuse with coma diameter about 14". IAUC 7496 SUPERNOVA 2000dl IN UGC 1191 M. M. M. Santangelo, Lucca, Italy, reports his discovery of an apparent supernova (R about 18) on five unfiltered CCD frames taken on Sept. 11.05 UT with a 0.51-m reflector in the course of the Monte Agliale Supernovae Search. SN 2000dl was confirmed on nine frames (limiting mag R about 19.5) taken on Sept. 17.89 and 19.90. The new object is located at: R.A. = 1h42m05s.77, Decl. = +7 39'58".2 (2000), which is about 4" west and 5" north of the nucleus of UGC 1191 = MCG +1-5-23 (the northern elliptical galaxy of an interacting pair of galaxies, both of which are near the centre of the cluster Abell 240). Nothing appears at this location on the O and E prints of the first Palomar Sky Survey or on various other deep photographic and CCD images of this galaxy. IAUC 7494 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2000dm IN UGC 11198 A. B. Aazami and W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of the Lick Observatory Supernova Search, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 16.1) on an unfiltered image taken with the 0.8-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) on Sept. 24.1 UT. SN 2000dm, which was confirmed on an earlier image taken on Sept. 16.1 at mag about 18.5, is located at R.A. = 18h18m58s.97, Decl. = +16o14'53".4 (2000), which is 3".6 west and 4".7 south of the nucleus of UGC 11198.
