The outburst was also detected by M.Reszelski on Apr 24.932UT at magnitude 14.4 v (0.41-m refl., AAVSO sequence) and by Gary Poyner on Apr 24.965UT, 14.9v (0.46-m refl., VSNET seq.). SUPERNOVA 2001aj IN UGC 10243 D. Weisz and W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, report the discovery by LOTOSS of an apparent supernova (mag about 18.0) on an unfiltered CCD image taken on Mar.30.5 UT (and confirmed at about the same brightness on an earlier image taken on Mar. 10.5) with the 0.8-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT). SN 2001aj is located at R.A. = 16h10m30s.23, Decl. = +19o57'01".2 (2000), which is 9".0 east and 13".5 south of the nucleus of UGC 10243. IAUC 7606 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001ak IN UGC 11188 M. Schwartz, Cottage Grove, OR; and W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of LOTOSS, report the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered images taken with the 0.5-m Tenagra III automated telescope on Apr. 1.5 (mag about 18.4) and 3.5 UT (mag about 18.1). SN 2001ak is located at R.A. = 18h17m31s.44, Decl. = +18o54'00".8 (2000), which is about 24" east and 12" south of the diffuse nucleus of UGC 11188. IAUC 7607 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001al IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY A. Gal-Yam and D. Maoz, Tel Aviv University, report for the Wise Observatory Optical Transients Search their discovery of the first supernova (R about 21.1) from the second phase of this project on unfiltered CCD images taken by H.Mendelson on Mar. 26 with the wide-field SITe camera mounted on the Wise Observatory 1-m telescope. SN 2001al is located at R.A. = 15h44m51s.74, Decl. = +36o07'29".0 (2000), which is in the field of the galaxy cluster Abell 2122 (z = 0.065). IAUC 7607 (extract) SUPERNOVAE 2001am-2001ax B. E.
