The image certainly shows the south east component as the brighter and the editor estimates it was of about magnitude 11.0. Given the GSC catalogues it at 13.68, it does seem likely that GSC 1336.1209, as Mike Collins originally suggested, is the variable. However the editor also notes that the north-west companion, GSC 1336.0605, catalogued at mag 13.3 was estimated near magnitude 12.0 from the same image.
