The object was recorded on 2001 May 11.988UT at magnitude 10.9 and the following approximate position was derived: RA 19h 07.5m DEC +11 44' (2000) An image of 2000 Nov 26.8 by Collins failed to show the object to a limit of 12.8 and it was also absent from a master patrol image of 1997 Aug 25.9 where the limiting magnitude was 13. A more recent patrol image of 2001 Apr 25.1 may show the object near magnitude 12.1 but as the Milky Way field is crowded this is rather uncertain. In response to an appeal, Nick James, Chelmsford, England imaged the field on 2001 May 16.96587UT and derived the following precise position from a 30sec V-Band frame with the 0.30-m reflector and CCD: RA 19 07 28.41 DEC +11 44 45.8 V 12.6 Astrometry used 15 GSC stars, mean error 0.24", 0.15". The V magnitude used GSC values for comparison and it is therefore slightly uncertain. Nick adds that no candidate can be found in USNO A2.0 catalogue with the nearest star being: RA 19 07 28.34 DEC +11 44 52.1 B 18.8 R 16.2 placing it about 6 arc seconds from the measured position of the suspect.
