V1548 AQUILAE
N.N.Samus, Institute of Astronomy, Moscow, advises that the object
found by Mike Collins and formerly Nova Aquilae 2001, has been
designated V1548 Aquilae.

The revised e-chart to (b) format reflects this new designation and
the location of the variable has also been amended to take into
account astrometry by Nick James and others.

The observational scatter on this object is the largest we have
ever noted for a nova. Whilst the nova is very reddened due to
heavy obscuration in this area of the galactic plane, it is
essential full estimates are submitted on a common sequence.
