Sala, Azzate, Italy, reports the discovery with the 0.3-m reflector at Promiod Observatory of an apparent supernova (mag 18.5) on unfiltered CCD images (limiting mag 19.5) taken on May 26.87 and 26.93 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 12h02m31s.64, Decl. = +41o02'58".9 (equinox 2000.0), which is 49".3 west and 19".1 south of the nucleus of UGC 7020. V. Pozzoli, Bareggio, Italy, confirmed the new object on unfiltered CCD images taken at the J. B. Postel Observatory on May 26.96, adding that both Palomar Sky Surveys show nothing at the position of SN 2001cf; he also adds that the new object is only about 7" from a foreground star of red mag 16.9 in the USNO-A2.0 catalogue. IAUC 7636 (extract) Editor: Details of this object were also telephoned to the editor and a confirmatory image was obtained by Tom Boles. SUPERNOVA 2001cg IN IC 3900 W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, reports the discovery by LOTOSS of an apparent supernova (mag about 17.8) in unfiltered images taken with the Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) on May 28.2 and 29.2 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 12h55m40s.87, Decl. = +27o15'03".9 (2000), which is 6".0 west and 1".5 north of the nucleus of IC 3900. IAUC 7637 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001ch IN MCG -01-54-16 Li also reports another LOTOSS discovery of a supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on May 28.5 (mag about 16.7) and 29.5 UT (mag about 16.8). SN 2001ch is located at R.A. = 21h25m59s.19, Decl. = -3 48'46".8 (2000), which is about 12" west and 14" south of the diffuse nucleus of MCG -01-54-16. IAUC 7637 (extract) Guy M Hurst
