We apologise for the delayed announcement evidently due to the loss of an e-mail in transmission to TA HQ. TITANIA OCCULTATION ON 2001 SEPTEMBER 8 J.Lecacheux reports on the Planetary Occultation Newsgroup that this occultation (cf E-Circular 1683) was successfully observed. >From an intensified video recording with the 1-metre telescope of Pic du Midi, they obtained a 57.0 sec. chord at Titania ground level. The immersion lasted 0.4 sec. and emersion 0.2 sec. (rough estimations). So the total duration of the phenomenon was 57.6 sec.
