Li, University of California at Berkeley, report the discovery by LOTOSS of an apparent supernova in unfiltered images taken with the Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) on Oct. 3.5 (mag about 17.1) and 4.4 UT (mag about 16.8). SN 2001ep is located at R.A. = 4h57m00s.26, Decl. = -4 45'40".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is 10".2 east and 15".8 south of the nucleus of NGC 1699. IAUC 7727 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001eq IN PGC 70417 W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, reports the discovery by LOTOSS (cf. IAUC 7514) of an apparent supernova in unfiltered images taken with the Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope. SN 2001eq is located at R.A. = 23h04m56s.78, Decl. = +19o33'04".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 3".0 east and 2".6 south of the nucleus of PGC 70417. Magnitudes for SN 2001eq: Aug. 23.3 UT, [19.0; 31.3, [18.5; Sept. 12.3, 18.7; 17.3, 18.0; 23.3, 17.6; Oct. 4.3, 18.5. IAUC 7728 SUPERNOVA 2001er IN UGC 5301 T. Puckett, Mountain Town, GA; and D. George, Ottawa, ON, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.2) on an unfiltered CCD frame (limiting mag 18.8) taken with the Puckett Observatory 0.35-m automated supernova patrol telescope on Oct.4.42 UT. SN 2001er is located at R.A. = 9h53m20s.66, Decl. = +42o50'44".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".0 west and 10".1 north of the centre of UGC 5301. The new object was confirmed on CCD frames taken on Oct. 5.49 with a 0.40-m reflector by J. Newton, Osoyoos, BC. IAUC 7728 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001es IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, reports the discovery by LOTOSS (cf. IAUC 7514) of an apparent supernova (mag about 18.0) in unfiltered images taken with the Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) on Oct. 7.4 and 8.4 UT. SN 2001es is located at R.A. = 2h02m08s.27, Decl. = +19o05'27".5 (equinox 2000.0), which is 0".8 west and 2".5 north of the nucleus of a galaxy that is itself located about 150" west and 84" north of the nucleus of UGC 1518. IAUC 7729 (extract) NOVA IN M31 Li also reports the discovery of an apparent nova in M31 on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Oct. 5.4 (mag about 17.5) and 6.4UT (mag about 16.9). The nova is located at R.A. = 0h43m03s.30, Decl. = +41o12'11".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is about 213" east and 238" south of the nucleus of M31 (= NGC 224). IAUC 7729 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001et IN MCG -03-51-9 W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, reports the discovery by LOTOSS (cf. IAUC 7514) of an apparent supernova in unfiltered images taken with the Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope. SN 2001et is located at R.A. = 20h19m35s.00, Decl. = -18o09'49".3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 21".7 east and 24".3 south of the nucleus of MCG -03-51-9.
