The BAA handbook gives the magnitude of Saturn as -0.3 and, for Greenwich, a disappearance is predicted at the bright limb at: 21h 04.6mUT The re-appearance at the dark limb is predicted for Greenwich at 22h 02.1mUT. For other locations you should consult the notes in the 2001 BAA Handbook on pages 25 and 27. If you are prevented from seeing the event due to cloud, Janusz Wiland, President of the Warsaw Division of Polish Society of Amateur Astronomers is hoping to produce a live transmission on the WWW, assuming clear skies in Poland!
