Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of LOTOSS, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 16.1) on unfiltered images taken with the 0.5-m Tenagra III automated telescope on Nov. 27.3 and Dec. 4.5 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 9h05m07s.44, Decl. = -18o31'04".8 (2000), which is 4".5 west and 6".9 north of the nucleus of MCG -03-23-17. IAUC 7765 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001hg IN NGC 4162 T. Puckett, Mountain Town, GA; and A. Sehgal, Woodinville, WA, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.4) on an unfiltered CCD frame taken with the Puckett Observatory 0.60-m automated supernova patrol telescope on Dec. 4.44 UT. SN 2001hg is located at R.A. = 12h11m53s.18, Decl. = +24o06'49".4 (2000), which is 9".4 east and 35".3 south of the centre of NGC 4162. IAUC 7766 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001hh IN MCG -02-57-22 M. Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of LOTOSS, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag about 17.5) on unfiltered images taken with the 0.5-m Tenagra III automated telescope on Dec. 4.1 and 5.1 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 22h36m30s.40, Decl. = -12o34'08".0 (2000), which is 11".1 east and 7".1 south of the nucleus of MCG -02-57-22. IAUC 7766 (extract) SUPERNOVAE 2001hi-2001ia B.Harris, University of Hawaii, on behalf of the High-Z Supernova Search team reports the discovery of 19 supernovae, all fainter than magnitude 23 and designated 2001hi-2001ia. IAUC 7767 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001ic IN NGC 7503 W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, reports the discovery by LOTOSS of an apparent supernova (mag about 17.4) in an unfiltered image taken with the Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) on Dec. 7.2 UT. The new object is confirmed at about the same brightness on an image taken by M.Schwartz with the Tenagra III 0.5-m telescope on Dec. 8.2 under poor conditions. SN 2001ic is located at R.A. = 23h10m43s.34, Decl. = +7 34'10".4 (2000), which is 14".8 east and 6".4 north of the nucleus of NGC 7503. IAUC 7770 (extract) SUPERNOVA 2001id IN UGC 12424 Li also reports the discovery by LOTOSS of another apparent supernova (mag about 18.8) in unfiltered KAIT images taken on Dec. 7.2 and 9.2 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 23h13m10s.88, Decl. = +10o46'25".2 (2000), which is 5".7 west and 5".6 south of the nucleus of UGC 12424. IAUC 7770 Guy M Hurst
