SUPERNOVA 2002ap IN MESSIER 74
Subscribers to the TA E-Circulars will already be aware from
numbers 1738 and 1739 of the discovery by Hirose of a bright
supernova in Messier 74. From fourteen observations so far received
it seems the object is still brightening and therefore is a high
priority object. 

The following e-chart is based on a preliminary sequence by Arne
Henden (USA). We appreciate there is an inconvenient gap between
stars 1 and 2, and we hope to have a revised/updated sequence
shortly.
