A brief outburst of an object was recorded at magnitude 22 but it remains possible it was much brighter than this around the date and time mentioned. Negative results with limiting magnitude, date and time would be helpful but if any images may show positive results please submit them to the editor as soon as possible. SUPERNOVA 2002H IN MCG -02-35-11 A further LOTOSS discovery appeared on IAUC 7798. This mag 16.7 object was recorded by KAIT on Jan 19, 32.0" W and 58.0"S of the galaxy MCG -02-35-11 at:RA 13h 38m 27.58s DEC -10 43' 12.9" (2000). SUPERNOVA 2002I IN IC 4229 Yet another LOTOSS supernova detection has been reported on IAUC 7799. This object is 11.1"E and 2.6"N of IC 4229 at: RA 13h 22m 26.84s DEC -02 25' 04.1" (2000). It was first imaged at magnitude 17.3 on Jan 19. SUPERNOVA 2002J IN NGC 3464 Details of this LOTOSS supernova discovery appeared on IAUC 7800. The object, recorded at mag 16.8 on Jan 21 by KAIT, is 23.5"W and 6.1"N of NGC 3464. The precise position is: RA 10h 54m 38.36s DEC -21 03' 53.6" (2000). SUPERNOVAE 2002K-2002ai The High-Z Supernova Search Team have reported fourteen supernovae, all fainter than magnitude 20 detected in I-band images of 2002 January 9 with the Subaru telescope. Full details appeared on IAU circulars 7801 and 7802. SUPERNOVAE 2002aj-2002am The Deep Lens Survey team have reported their detection of four supernovae in V-band images with the CTIO 4-m reflector on 2002 January 11-16, all of magnitude 19 or fainter. Further details have appeared on IAUC 7804. SUPERNOVAE 2002an IN NGC 2575 Yasuo Sano, Nayoro, Hokkaido, Japan has reported via VSNET his discovery of an apparent supernova of magnitude 16.1, 38.3"E and 7.4"S from the centre of NGC 2575. The discovery images were obtained on 2002 Jan 22.5UT with a 0.28-m Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The following precise position was obtained: RA 08h 22m 47.76s DEC +24 17' 41.7" (2000). Confirmation of this discovery was obtained by R.Kushida of Yatsugatake South Base Observatory when the estimated magnitude of 16.0 was derived from an unfiltered CCD image of Jan 22.6UT. Sano has subsequently reported a magnitude 15.97 on VSNET, this obtained on 2002 Jan 31.4UT with a 0.25-m Newtonian + ST9e on an exposure of 30 seconds duration. Guy M Hurst
