SUPERNOVA 2002bs IN IC 4221
The discovery of a supernova in IC 4221 has been reported by the
Beijing Astronomical Observatory team on IAU Circular 7861. It was
first recorded on March 11.73UT at magnitude 15.5 with the BAO
0.6-m telescope and again on 23.73UT when the object had brightened
to magnitude 14.1.
It is located at: RA 13h 18m 30.30s DEC -14 36' 31.8" (2000) which
is at the centre of this galaxy.  

SUPERNOVA 2002bt IN UGC 8584
The LOTOSS team have reported the discovery of a supernova in UGC
8584. According to IAUC 7862, it was first detected on an exposure
of 2002 March 25.4UT using the 0.8-m KAIT telescope when its
estimated magnitude was 17.9. 
The supernova is located at: RA 13h 36m 13.20s DEC -01 02' 19.8"
(2000), placing it 13.2"W and 1.9"S of the nucleus.
