His observation, made with a 0.46-m reflector, was on July 19.985UT when the visual magnitude was estimated to be 13.8 using the BAAVSS sequence. A later message from E Muyllaert of Ostend, Belgium indicated it had also been observed on July 19.932UT at 13.9v using a 0.21-m Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Bill Worraker adds that the star is currently well-placed and follow-up time series photometry is recommended, especially since the orbital period is so far unknown. SUPERNOVA 2002dv IN UGC 11486 The LOTOSS team have reported a possible supernova in UGC 11486 according to IAUC 7930. The object, of magnitude 18.8, was first noted on a KAIT image of July 1.4UT at: RA 19h 49m 48.72s DEC +50 41' 57.3" (2000), 0.5"W and 11.1"N of the nucleus. Guy M Hurst
