Adams, Lincoln Laboratory, has reported the detection of two comets in the same LINEAR field and moving in the same direction on images of 2002 August 26.1UT. The discovery details and preliminary orbital elements have been extracted from IAUC 7960: Comet C/2002 Q2: 2002 UT R.A. Wood-Vasey et.al. have reported on IAUC 7959 that a possible supernova of magnitude 18.7 was noted on a NEAT image of August 6.47UT at: RA 21h 57m 21.66s DEC -07 51' 24.8" (2000). It was about 5" W of the parent galaxy. SUPERNOVA 2002eq W.M. Wood-Vasey also reports another candidate for a supernova on a NEAT image of August 8.36UT when the object was at magnitude 19.6. The position, according to IAUC 7959 is: RA 21h 19m 00.19s DEC -16 17' 12.7" (2000), 4"S of the nucleus. SUPERNOVA 2002er IN UGC 10743 A LOTOSS detection of an apparent supernova of magnitude 17.5 on a KAIT image of August 23.2UT was reported on IAUC 7959. The position is: RA 17h 11m 29.88s DEC +07 59' 44.8" (2000), 12.3"W and 4.7"N of the galaxy's nucleus. SUPERNOVA 2002es IN UGC 2708 This possible supernova reported on IAUC 7959 was also noted by the LOTOSS team from an image of August 23.5UT when it was of magnitude 16.4. The object is located at: RA 03h 23m 47.23s DEC +40 33' 53.5" (2000). The offsets from the centre of UGC 2708 are: 18.8"W; 25.5"N. SUPERNOVA 2002et IN MCG -04-47-10 Yet another LOTOSS discovery, this time in MCG -04-47-10, was noted on IAUC 7959. The magnitude on Aug 24.3UT was 16.5. The object is located: RA 20h 08m 31.02s DEC -25 27' 37.5"(2000). The offsets from the parent galaxy are: 2.1"W and 6.8"S. Guy M Hurst
