He noted nothing had been found on ESO Palomar plates and no asteroid had been found in this position using the Minor Planet Center checker. A follow-up image was obtained on 2002 Nov 5.083UT again showing the object, now of R=16.5 and the following position was obtained: RA 11h 24m 40.12s DEC +38 46' 03.0" (2000). Tom measured offsets from the nucleus as 42.0" west and 16.6" north. He added that the suspected supernova was not present on his images of Apr 4 (limiting magnitude 18.5), April 19 or June 1. IAUC 8008 has subsequently been issued announcing the discovery as Supernova 2002hl and we offer our congratulations to Tom on this further success, his 26th supernova for the patrol. SUPERNOVA 2002hi IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY The LOTOSS team have reported on IAUC 8006 their discovery of an apparent magnitude 17.9 supernova in an anonymous galaxy on a KAIT image of Oct 21.5UT. The position is: RA 07h 19m 54.08s DEC +17 58' 18.2" (2000) which places it about 1 arc second from the nucleus of the galaxy. SUPERNOVA 2002hj IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY W. M. Wood-Vasey et. al., report their detection of an apparent supernova of magnitude 17.4 on a NEAT image of Oct 20.48UT at: RA 02h 58m 09.34s DEC +04 41' 03.8" (2000), 2.0"W and 6.5"S of the centre of an anonymous galaxy according to IAUC 8006.
