COMET 2002 X5
Tetuo Kudo, Japan, has visually discovered a new comet using 20x120
binoculars:
     2002 UT             RA (2000)  DEC           m1    Observer
     Dec. 13.833     15 44         +45 30         9.5   Kudo
          14.783     15 52         +44 57         9.5     "

K. Kadota, Saitama, Japan has confirmed the new object on a CCD
image using a 0.25-m reflector. According to IAUC 8032, the coma
diameter was 5.5' and a tail of about 18 arc minutes long was
recorded in PA 331:
