The new object is located at: RA 20h11m59.91s, DEC +05 31'16.0" (2000), which is approximately 10.0"W and 11.5"N of the centre of UGC 11523. Michael Schwartz, USA, confirmed the new object with the 0.82-m Tenagra telescope on Dec 11.073UT. Tom Boles measured end figures RA 59.94s DEC 15.6" from Schwartz' image. The new object is not present on Boles' images from Oct. 18 (limiting mag 18.5) or Sep.28 (limiting mag 19.0), and it is not present on Palomar Sky Survey II red (1990.702) and blue (1990.552) plates or on a Quick-V survey plate (1982.480). Subsequently the designation SN 2002jn has been assigned and announced on IAUC 8030. Congratulations to Tom on his 30th supernova discovery. SUPERNOVA 2002jh IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY W. M. Wood-Vasey et. al., have reported on IAUC 8023 their discovery of a magnitude 18.4 supernova on a NEAT image of 2002 Nov 12.48UT. The position is: RA 04h 27m 29.57s DEC +06 01' 34.2" (2000) with offsets 5"E and 3"S of the centre of an anonymous galaxy. SUPERNOVA 2002ji IN NGC 3655 IAUC 8025 carries details of a supernova discovery by Y. L. Qiu et. al., in NGC 3655. The object, of about magnitude 15.1, was recorded on 2002 Nov 30.84UT with the BAO 0.6-m telescope at: RA 11h 22m 53.15s DEC +16 35' 10.0" (2000), 22.4"W and 14.0"S of the galaxy's nucleus. SUPERNOVA 2002jj IN IC 340 A LOTOSS supernova discovery in IC 340 has been reported on IAUC 8026. The object, of magnitude 16.5, was recorded on a KAIT image of Dec 3.4UT at: RA 03h 39m 29.55s DEC -13 06' 55.8" (2000), 7.0"E and 1.5"S of the galaxy's nucleus. SUPERNOVA 2002jk IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY W. M. Wood-Vasey also reports a magnitude 17.9 supernova on a NEAT image secured as long ago as 2002 Feb 14.37UT at: RA 10h 44m 14.39s DEC +15 58' 09.9" (2000), 1"E and 5"S of the nucleus of an anonymous galaxy. Further details have appeared on IAUC 8026. SUPERNOVA 2002jl IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY Yet another report from Wood-Vasey (IAUC 8027) carries details of a magnitude 19.3 supernova recorded on a NEAT image of 2002 Nov 19 at: RA 00h 20m 13.95s DEC -00 08' 20.7" (2000). The object is 5" from two different nebulous objects. SUPERNOVA 2002jm IN IC 603 Another LOTOSS supernova discovery has been announced (IAUC 8030) which refers to a magnitude 17.5 object recorded on a KAIT image of Dec 7.5UT at: RA 10h 19m 25.20s DEC -05' 39' 14.5" (2000), 2.6"E and 7.3"N of the nucleus of IC 603.
