The new object was recorded on unfiltered CCD images secured with a 0.35-m Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope during the course of the UK Nova/Supernova Patrol. The new object was measured to be at: RA 06h 42m 50.12s DEC +41 25'19.9" (2000) which is approximately 20".1 west and 4".3 north of the centre of UGC 3513. The suspect is not present on Tom's images from Feb 17 (limiting mag 19.5) Feb 03 and Jan 05, and it is not present on Palomar Sky Survey red (1986.905) or blue plates (1990.061) A second e-mail message received on the evening of March 7 advised that a confirmatory image had been obtained on Mar 7.791UT when the object may have brightened to magnitude 18.2. Subsequently the object was announced on IAUC 8089 and designated SN 2003bq. Congratulations to Tom on his 40th supernova discovery. SUPERNOVA 2003bn IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY W. M. Wood-Vasey et. al., have reported in IAUC 8088 their discovery of a magnitude 16.7 supernova on NEAT images of 2003 Feb 27.48UT at: RA 10h 02m 35.51s DEC -21 10' 54.5" (2000), 3.2"E and 1.0"S of the nucleus of an anonymous galaxy. SUPERNOVA 2003bo IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY Wood-Vasey also reports discovery of a magnitude 19.6 supernova on a Palomar NEAT image of 2003 Feb 19.41UT and located at: RA 09h 47m 43.41s DEC +36 18' 21.8" (2000), 8.4"W of the centre of an anonymous galaxy according to IAUC 8089. SUPERNOVA 2003bp IN NGC 2596 This object, announced on IAUC 8089, is a magnitude 17.8 LOTOSS supernova discovery from a KAIT image of 2003 March 6.2UT at: RA 08h 27m 27.81s DEC +17 17' 14.5" (2000), 17.6"E and 11.6"N of the centre of NGC 2596.
