Peter provides the following information: "It is going to pass closer than 2002 NY40 did (actually it will pass 0.0022 AU from us on Apr 29.3 UT which is the 8th closest fly- by ever), (2002 NY40 approached to 0.0035 AU). It is already very close and I recorded it last night varying by over one mag from 19.0 to 17.9 but by tonight, Apr 27/28, it should be 1.5 mags brighter. Unfortunately it is going too far south for UK subscribers to follow after tonight, but it should reach brighter than mag 16, but at that time travelling at an impressive instantaneous speed of over 8 degrees PER HOUR! It should be possible to record it from the UK tonight. From Great Shefford it is at an altitude of over 20 degrees from 21UT to about 03UT, reaching 31 degrees altitude at midnight."
