This object, of about magnitude 19.3 was first recorded on 2003 April 8.4UT at: RA 11h 57m 31.97s DEC -01 15' 13.6" (2000), 2.7"E and 3.1"S of the nucleus of UGC 6934. GRB 030329 = SUPERNOVA 2003dh R. Chornock et. al., University of California, Berkeley, have reported their analysis of spectra obtained on April 8UT with the Shane 3-m telescope at Lick Observatory show SN 2003dh has similar characteristics to SN 1998bw and SN 2002ap according to IAUC 8114. They conclude that the association between core-collapse supernovae and at least some of the long-duration GRBs seems solid. SUPERNOVA 2003dh A discovery of a possible magnitude 17.8 supernova on NEAT images of Feb 4.58UT has been announced on IAUC 8114. This object is located at: RA 12h 00m 24.08s DEC +11 58' 26.5" (2000), 17.1"E and 11.2"N of the centre of an anonymous galaxy. V844 HERCULIS Gary Poyner, Birmingham reports an outburst detected visually of V844 Herculis on 2003 May 5.969UT at 12.7 (Sequence AAVSO). Hazel McGee, Clandon, England also noted it bright on May 6.053UT at 12.5v using a 0.305-m Schmidt-Cassegrain at x117 (TA sequence). Guy M Hurst
