Graham et. al., LOTOSS team, have reported a possible magnitude 18.0 supernova in NGC 3191 which was first recorded on 2003 April 14.3UT according to IAUC 8120. The position is: RA 10h 18m 58.35s DEC +46 27' 15.5" (2000), 4.2"E and 1.2"N of the galaxy's nucleus. SUPERNOVA 2003dt IN NGC 6962 A further LOTOSS discovery, this time in NGC 6962, has also been reported on IAUC 8120. The possible supernova, of magnitude 17.5, was first recorded on April 22.5UT at: RA 20h 47m 17.56s DEC +00 18' 42.8" (2000), 23"W and 32"S of the galaxy's centre. SUPERNOVA 2003du IN UGC 9391 Michael Schwartz and P. R. Holvorem have reported yet another LOTOSS supernova discovery, this time of magnitude 15.9 in UGC 9391 according to IAUC 8121. The first detection at Tenagra was on April 22.4UT and the object located at: RA 14h 34m 35.80s DEC +59 20' 03.8" (2000) which places it 8.8"W and 13.5"S of the galaxy's centre. Peter Meikle, Imperial College, London, advises that a spectrum was secured at the Iasaac Newton Telescope on April 24.06UT showing it to be a type Ia supernova. SUPERNOVA 2003dv IN UGC 9638 A report was received at the Central Bureau of a possible supernova of magnitude 16.2 in UGC 9638 noted by Schwartz and Holvorcem on images of April 22.4 and 23.4UT at: RA 14h 58m 04.92s DEC +58 52' 49.9" (2000), 37.5"W and 31.8"N of the galaxy's centre. There was some uncertainty as to the nature of the object but a subsequent report by Peter Meikle on IAUC 8124 advises that a spectrum at the Isaac Newton Telescope on April 27.06UT confirmed it to be a type IIn supernova, one week past maximum. It was therefore designated Supernova 2003dv. SUPERNOVA 2003dw IN MCG +10-24-51 D. Rich of Hampden, USA has reported discovery of a magnitude 16.7 supernova in MCG +10-24-51 on CCD images of April 26.17UT at: RA 16h 45m 51.10s DEC +59 37' 38.0" (2000), 11.4"W and 19.0"N of the galaxy's centre according to IAUC 8124. V660 HERCULIS Mike Simonsen, USA, has reported an outburst of V660 Herculis. On 2003 May 21.286UT he observed it at visual magnitude 14.6. The Kyoto team have confirmed the outburst according to reports on VSNET. V4745 SAGITTARII = NOVA SAGITTARII 2003 N. N. Samus, Institute of Astronomy, Moscow, advises that the designation V4745 Sagittarii has been assigned to the nova reported on TA E-Circular 1881. Guy M Hurst
