The object was then 41.55AU from the earth and the measured separation is equivalent to 6300 +/- 600 km in the plane of the sky. SUPERNOVA 2003em In ESO 478-G6 Berto Monard, Pretoria, South Africa, has reported his discovery of a possible supernova of magnitude R=17.2 on CCD images of 2003 May 27.158UT and located at: RA 02h 09m 20.23s DEC -23 24' 53.0" (2000), 32"E and 2"N of the centre of the presumed host galaxy ESO 478-G6. An earlier image by Monard secured on 2003 Mar 10.7 did not show the object. SUPERNOVAE 2003en, 2003eq-2003eu The above designations of six supernovae reported by the Hubble Higher-z supernova team all relate to objects of magnitude 23 or fainter. Further details appear on IAUC 8140. SUPERNOVA 2003eo IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY W. M. Wood-Vasey has reported a possible supernova of mag 20.2 on NEAT images of Mar 27.14UT and located at: RA 11h 03m 09.19s DEC -05 46' 09.4" (2000), 1.5"W and 0.5"S of the host galaxy according to IAUC 8140. SUPERNOVA 2003ep IN NGC 7053 M. Papenkova has reported on IAUC 8140 a possible supernova of magnitude 15.7 first recorded on LOTOSS/KAIT images May 17.5UT at: RA 21h 21m 07.34s DEC +23 05' 05.8" (2000), 3.9"W of the centre of NGC 7053. SUPERNOVA 2003ev IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY Papenkova also reports on the same IAUC that a possible supernova of magnitude 18.5 has been recorded on 2003 June 1.3UT at: RA 13h 10m 31.80s DEC -21 39' 49.6" (2000), 2.2"E and 6.4"N of the centre of an anonymous galaxy. SUPERNOVA 2003ew This designation was given to another Hubble Higher-z object of magnitude 24.1 according to IAUC 8141. SUPERNOVA 2003ex IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY Wood-Vasey also reports a magnitude 19.1 supernova at: RA 13h 27m 32.31s DEC +5 31' 14.4" (2000) 2.5"W and 1.1"S of the nucleus of the host galaxy. It was initially recorded Mar 26.44UT. SUPERNOVA 2003ey IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY Wood-Vasey reports another supernova, mag 19.2 at: RA 14h 20m 03.28s DEC -08 28' 40.0" (2000) 2.4"W and 0.8"S of the host first recorded May 24.33UT according to IAUC 8141. SUPERNOVA 2003ez IN PGC 42782 Papenkova also reports a possible supernova recorded June 3.2UT at: RA 12h 43m 11.87s DEC -02 30' 04.1" (2000). The magnitude 17.5 object is 4.5"W and 0.7"S of the centre of the galaxy PGC 42782. BC UMA The TA chart sequence for this object was updated on CSN 114 issued on June 4 and is now shown on the chart section of TA WWW pages.
