Titania is predicted to occult a star of magnitude 10.2 located at: RA 22h 15.9m DEC -11 37 (2000) between 04.22 and 04.29UT. The star is TYC 5806 0696. This will occur in bright twilight for UK observers who may nevertheless wish to attempt it given the rarity of such events. Our subscribers based in Central and North America will have more favourable circumstances and the central duration is predicted to last 77 seconds with a magnitude 3.7 drop. The occultation was found by David Herald last December, and is in a table of occultations by planetary satellites at the top of page 106 of the March issue of Sky and Telescope. Please send any reports, positive or negative to Dr. Mark Kidger, TA planetary editor with a copy to the main editor. Guy M Hurst
