The event took place on 2003 November 23 and was seen from his observing site at: Lat 53º 44' 25.2"N Long 002º 54' 24.9"W Elevation +13m Disappearance: 01:08:37.9 } UT +/- 0.1 sec Reappearance : 01:08:48.3 } Duration : 10.4 sec Magnitude drop: 1.6 Telescope: 0.26-m f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain. This may be the first ever video-recorded event of a positive occultation by an asteroid from England and we offer our sincere congratulations to Andrew of this marvellous achievement. SUPERNOVA 2003jh IN MCG -02-11-30 A further LOTOSS discovery of a possible supernova has been reported on IAUC 8236. The new object was first detected on KAIT images of 2003 October 29.4UT at magnitude 17.8. It is located at: RA 4h 16m 37.30s DEC -12 23' 32.9" (2000), 12.4"W, 21.9"N of the nucleus of MCG -02-11-30. SUPERNOVAE 2003ji-2003jy The ESSENCE project team have reported supernovae allocated the above designations recorded Oct 20-30 with the Blanco 4-m telescope. All have R magnitudes of 19.8 or fainter according to IAUC 8237 and IAUC 8238. Guy M Hurst
