Ory, Delemont, Switzerland, has reported the discovery on IAUC 8260 of an apparent supernova on CCD images obtained with a 0.61-m reflector. The new object, which appeared at mag R = 15.8 on Dec. 25.817 UT and at R = 16.1 on Dec. 26.767, is located at: RA 3h 45m 05.67s DEC +20 45'39.3" (2000), 8.6"E and 3.9"S of the centre of UGC 2850. Nothing is visible on a red POSS plate of 1951 Dec 1. SUPERNOVA 2003lc IN UGC 934 Tim Puckett and L. Cox, USA have reported on IAUC 8260 their discovery of a magnitude 17.0 supernova in the galaxy UGC 934. An unfiltered CCD image with a 0.50-m telescope on Dec 26.03UT was first used to detect the object whose location is: RA 1h 23m 25.82s DEC +30 47'14.9" (2000), 32.1"W and 10.7"N of the centre of the parent galaxy. SUPERNOVA 2003ld In UGC 148 Puckett and Cox also report on the same IAUC the discovery of another supernova, this time in UGC 148. First detection was on Dec 28.02UT when the object was of magnitude 16.8 and located at: RA 00h 15m 51.85s DEC +16 05' 21.6" (2000), 8.6"E, 1.3"S of the parent galaxy's centre. Guy M Hurst
