D. Neill reports the discovery on CCD images of a possible nova of magnitude 19.6 in NGC 205 and located at: RA 00h 40m 15.24s DEC +41 37'29.9" (2000), 76.9"W and 217.2"S of the galaxy's centre. The object was found on images of Jan 18.14UT although subsequently also later noted on images back to 2003 Dec 25 according to IAUC 8272. SUPERNOVA 2004G IN NGC 5668 R. Kushida of Japan has reported the discovery of a magnitude 17.2 possible supernova recorded on CCD frames of Jan 19.86UT in the galaxy NGC 5668. Y. Kushida has reported on IAUC 8272 the following position: RA 14h 33m 21.40s DEC +04 26'49.5" (2000), 43"W and 12.5S of the centre of the host galaxy. Hitoshi Yamaoka, Japan, adds that this galaxy has produced SN I (probably Ia) 1954B (B = 12.8 at maximum), and SN 1952G (discovered on an archived plate at mag about 17.9). (VSNET-OBS 48414).
