Observations were obtained using the University of Iowa, Rigel Telescope (0.37-m Cassegrain). Sequence: Henden and Sumner (R magnitudes derived from V and B-V) Patrick adds: This is only the third known outburst of the SU UMa-type dwarf nova LL And. Previous outburst detections: 1979 Sept. 19.01 UT, mag 13 (Paul Wild's discovery, IAUC 3412) 1993 Dec. 7.906 UT, mv= 14.0 (Tonny Vanmunster, The Astronomer, E-Circular 795) The 1979 outburst lasted at least 9 days and was most likely a superoutburst. The current outburst is about 1.5 mag brighter than the 1993 supermaximum. T. Ohshima, Nara, Japan, has reported via VSNET (VSNET-OBS 49719) visual confirmation on May 25.753UT, at 13.5 using a 0.13-m reflector. Gary Poyner reports: The position is 00h 41m 51.46 +26 37. 21.8 (2000.0) A Henden sequence can be found at... http://joevp.20m.com/charts/henden/And%20to%20Gem/ Guy M Hurst
