Tom Boles of Coddenham, England e-mailed us to report a possible supernova of magnitude 18.5 detected in UGC 1892 during the course of searches for the UK Nova/Supernova patrol. It was recorded on 10 unfiltered CCD images centred on Sept 8.003UT obtained with a 0.35-m Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope but on a single night. The new object is located at: RA 02h 26m 11.82s DEC +27 36' 24.1"(2000), which is approximately 7.8"W and 11.6"N of the centre of the host galaxy. The suspect is not present on Tom's images of 2003 Oct 19 and Nov 27 (limiting magnitude 19.5) and it is not present on DSS II red (1991.757 - limiting mag 21.5) or blue plates (1991.705 - limiting mag 22.0). On September 9 a further e-mail from Tom Boles relayed confirmation had been obtained on an image of Sept 9.001UT with end figures: RA 11.85s DEC 24.0" and the object at a similar magnitude. The object was designated supernova 2004eh and announced on IAUC 8401. Congratulations to Tom on the discovery of his 74th supernova. SUPERNOVA 2004eg in UGC 3053 Discovery by J.
