Mark obtained the following position: RA 19h 31m 31.11s DEC +35 52' 15.7" (Limiting Magnitude 20.0) Offsets 10.4"E, 20.3"S. He adds that there is no trace of the suspect on his master of 2004 July 28 (LM 19.0), POSS-II red 1992.664 (LM 20.8) nor blue 1998.449 (LM 22.5). There is a very faint star immediately to the west of the suspect visible on the above reference images. Later on September 15 Mark e-mailed to report confirmation of the suspect on Sept 15.831UT The supernova was announced on IAUC 8406 issued on September 23.
