SUPERNOVA 2004gj IN IC 701
Discovery by LOSS of a possible supernova (IAUC 8445):
SN      2004 UT        R.A.  (2000.0)  Decl.   Mag.     Offset
2004gj   Nov. 23.52   11 30 59.63  +20 28 06.8 18.3  14.1"W, 2.1"S
The object is evidently in the eastern component of the interacting 
galaxy, IC 701.

V574 PUPPIS = NOVA PUPPIS 2004
The nova reported on E-Circular 2059 has now been designated V574 Puppis 
according to a message from  N Samus and E. Kazarovets, Institute of 
Astronomy, Moscow.
