The star is HIP 59732, of visual magnitude 7.7 and located at: RA 12h 15m 0.004s DEC -01 19' 35.73" in the constellation of Virgo. The asteroid is of magnitude 12.7, with diameter 160km. The magnitude drop will therefore be about 5.0 and the maximum duration is expected to be 13.2 secs. The event should be favourable for Central Europe and the southern part of the UK.
