Images taken on May 9 from 8.5-8.8UT gave V=12.34, R=11.88 and I=11.27. In a further report by Kazuhiro Nakajima of Japan and received via VSNET (recently re-launched), further CCD magnitudes have become available for 2005 May 10.780-10.783 using a 0.25-m Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with various filters: 12.47V; 11.31Ic; 11.96Rc; 13.13B Editor: The position of this object is: RA 22h 53m 57.7s DEC +16 08' 54" (2000) A chart can be found at: http://astro.fisica.unipg.it/PGblazar/3C454.htm SUPERNOVA 2005bm IN ANONYMOUS GALAXY Discovery by SDSS collaboration of a possible supernova (IAUC 8513): SN 2005 UT R.A. Morrell, Carnegie Supernova Project, has reported on IAUC 8513 that spectroscopic observations were obtained for this object on 2005 April 12.35UT with the Las Campanas 2.5-m du Pont telescope. It is probably a supernova of type-Ic. Guy M Hurst
