N. Samus and E. Kazarovets, Institute of Astronomy, Russian Academy of Sciences. According to a report in IAUC 8544, M. Dennefeld and F. Ricquebourg, Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris; and Y. Damerdji, Observatoire de Haute-Provence (OHP), advise that a spectrum of 2005 June 11.1UT, obtained using the 1.93-m telescope, indicates it is a symbiotic or peculiar nova. Gary Poyner, Birmingham, reports the following visual magnitude estimates: 2005 June 10.99UT, 11.3; 11.02, 11.3; 12.94, 11.2; 13.02, 11.3; 14.97, 11.3 (0.22-m reflector and AAVSO sequence). In addition to the paper chart issued early today on Early Warning Circular 179, we will also produce a 'finders' version on CSN shortly.
