V5116 SAGITTARII = NOVA SAGITTARII 2005 No. 2
E. Kazarovets and the GCVS team report on IAUC 8561 that the 
variable-star designation V5116 Sgr has been assigned to this nova which 
was announced by us on TA E-Circular 2128.

Visual magnitude estimates:  July 5.592 UT, 8.2 (Andrew Pearce, Western 
Australia); 5.960, 8.6 (Patrick Schmeer, Germany); 5.993, 8.2 (Andreas 
Kammerer, Germany); 6.476, 8.3 (Pearce); 6.89, 8.4 (Martin Lehky, Czech 
Republic).

BBC FOUR: STAR MEN 2005 AUGUST 6
Kristin Ernst, Researcher, BBC Bristol, advises us that the programme 
'Star Men' will be transmitted after 'The Sky at Night' on 2005 August 6 
at 8.10pm on BBC FOUR.

A number of you contributed information to this programme and some 
participated in interviews for which the producer expresses her thanks 
for all the help received.

Please note this date is also that of the BAA Variable Star Meeting so 
those attending and due to travel back over distance may wish to set 
their recording equipment accordingly.
