The satellite was found to be about 4.43 magnitudes fainter than the primary and to be separated 0".53 from the primary in PA275. NOVA SCUTI 2005 Further to the announcement on E2159, Gary Poyner, Birmingham, England, observed the object visually with a 0.22-m reflector on Oct 01.813UT at magnitude 11.3 (Class 1). Comparisons used were: TYC 5124 455 and TYC 5124 264. Denis Buczynski, Lancaster, England, has also sent an image of the nova obtained on a 60-sec exposure of October 1 at 20.05UT using a 0.33-m Newtonian + SBIG ST7XME unfiltered. Guy M Hurst
