It was confirmed on Mar 17.02UT at mag 18.1. The position is: RA 07h 05m 35.65s DEC +33 47' 42.3" (2000), which is 26" E and 118" S of the centre of the galaxy UGC 3664. Jack Newton has reported a pre-discovery image of Mar 5.15UT showing it at magnitude 17.3. It was not, however, present on Tim Puckett's image of Feb 7 to a limit of magnitude 19.0 nor on the Palomar Sky Survey plates from 1953 Nov. 11-1999 Nov. 9. Giovanni Sostero reports to TAHQ that the transient has also been confirmed by images obtained on 2006 March 16.9 UT by Mario e Virgilio Gonano (Remanzacco Observatory, Italy) and Giovanni Benintende (Catania, Italy) at magnitude 18.0.
