Nakano, Japan, reports the discovery by H. Nishimura (Miyawaki, Kakegawa, Japan) of a possible nova of magnitude 10.5 on two Kodak T-Max 400 films taken on 2006 Apr. 2.807 UT using a Pentax 6x7 camera and 200-mm f/4.0 telephoto lens. The following position has been derived: RA 21h 11m 32s, DEC +44 48' 02" (2000). The object was not recorded to a limit of magnitude 12 on March 28. Hitoshi Yamaoka, Japan, comments that there is a very red star of mag about 14 in several star catalogues with end figures: RA 31.9s, DEC 03". Richard Miles, England, has sent an image secured on April 4 at 23.57UT and has measured a precise position of: RA 21h 11m 32.34s DEC +44 48' 03.9" (2000), magnitude V=8.5+/-0.3 He adds that nothing is visible at this position on the digitised sky survey image. Further observations would be welcomed. Guy M Hurst
