The first one was detected with 17.8 mag in R at a position: RA 00h 43m 13.42s, DEC +41 16' 58.9" (2000). This appears to be an independent discovery of the same object as reported on TA E-Circular 2231. The second nova of 18.1 mag is located at: RA 00h 43m 13.94s, DEC +41 20' 05.6" (2000). Both candidates were measured with the Wendelstein 0.8 m telescope equipped with a 1k x 1k CCD camera with 24mu sq. pixels. Using observations in the Halpha band we can rule out an outburst before 2006, April 21.1UT for both novae, as the H-alpha brightness was at least 5 mag fainter.
