NOVA IN M31 K. Itagaki, Japan has reported via CBET 615 the discovery of a nova in Messier 31 using a 0.60-m reflector and on unfiltered CCD images. It is located at: RA 00h 42m 33.16a DEC +41 10' 06.8" (2000). Itagaki provides the following unfiltered magnitudes for the apparent nova: Sept. 1.59 UT, [20.0; 3.51, 16.5; 3.52, 16.4; 3.53, 16.3; 3.55, 16.2; 3.56, 16.1; 3.57, 16.0. SUPERNOVA 2006et IN NGC 232 Discovery by Itagaki (Japan) of a possible supernova (CBET 616): SN 2006 UT R.A. (2000.0) Decl. Mag. Offset 2006et Sep. 3.77 00 42 45.82 -23 33 30.4 16.1 0.3"E,11.0"N Subsequently the discoverer also noted the object present at magnitude 17.0 on an image of Aug 30.68UT but not recorded on Aug 24.69UT to a limit of magnitude 18.5.
