THE ASTRONOMER MEETING, EQUIPMENT APPEAL
Although we have both a computer projector and 35mm slide projector 
needed by speakers for this year's event, we usually have backups for 
each of these thanks to Gordon Rogers who has brought these in former 
years. Gordon cannot attend this year and this is an appeal to anyone 
attending who may be able to bring along either, as a reserve for any 
difficulties with the main equipment. Please e-mail the editor if you 
can help.

MESSAGE BACKLOG
As anticipated there is a considerable backlog of over 800 e-mails and a 
large amount of post following the editor's return from Italy. Some of 
this relates to late bookings for the annual meeting which hopefully 
will be processed this weekend. In the event you do not receive a 
programme or an e-mail acknowledgement by mid-week please contact the 
editor. If there are any remaining messages which are urgent please 
re-send with 'URGENT' in the subject line.
