Observations: 2006 Sept 24 (03h11m48s UT), mag 15.2; 20h43m40sUT, 15.3; 23h40m57sUT, 15.3. 0.26-m SC + Meade DSI-Pro II A reference image of Sept 7 (01h36m24sUT) did not seem to show the object to a limit of mag 17.5. Images on website http://www.dsi-astronomie.de/11603.htm Brian Skiff (USA) comments that this object is apparently rather blue, and thus one can suspect it is a dwarf nova or similar object. The 'best' position seems to be from USNO-B1.0, which also shows modest proper motion: RA 20h 37m 07.67s DEC +63 39'15.5" (2000) It is USNO-B1.0 1536-0254951. SUPERNOVAE 2006fd-2006fn Further Sloan Sky Digital Survey II supernova discoveries have been reported. These are of magnitude 19 or fainter and were detected between Aug 27 and Sept 15. Guy M Hurst
