Prieto, Ohio State University (OSU) et. al., report the discovery on CBET 692 of a Galactic hydrogen-deficient dwarf nova, possibly a member of the rare "AM CVn" class. The object, located at RA 20h 47m 39.40s DEC +00 08'40.3"(2000), was discovered at magnitude r = 17.8 using the SDSS 2.5-m telescope at Apache Point Observatory on Oct. 12UT. On Oct 14 it had faded to 20.8 but re-brightened on Oct 18 to r=18.3. A spectrum of the object on Oct. 19.08 UT with the MDM 2.4-m Hiltner telescope shows a blue continuum with shallow absorption lines of He I at 382.0, 386.7,392.7, 400.9, 402.5, 414.4, 438.8, 447.1, 492.2, and 587.6 nm with zero radial velocity.
