This was recorded on multiple images taken on about Dec 17.212UT using a 0.35-m Schmidt-Cassegrain during the course of searches for the UK Nova/Supernova Patrol. The position is: RA 14h 20m 27.46s DEC +35 11' 42.6" (2000) and offsets from the host galaxy are 11.9"E, 22.7"N. The suspect is not present on Tom's images of 2006 March 6 and June 30 (limiting mag 19.5) and it is also not present on DSS II red (1992-05-01 limiting mag 20.5) and blue plates (1988-03-16 limiting mag 21.0) In a follow-up message received on Dec 18, Tom relays that he has obtained confirmation images on Dec 18.111UT which gave end figures: RA 27.45s DEC 42.8". The object has been announced on CBET 774. Congratulations to Tom on the discovery of his 105th supernova. Guy M Hurst
