The images, which reach a limit of about magnitude 13.2, allowed Tago to measure a position of: RA 20h 28m 15s DEC +41 49.0' (2000). An image of March 12.796UT, limiting magnitude 12, does not show an object in this position but on Mar 16.75 it was recorded at about magnitude 7.5. Nakano reports that K. Nishiyama and T. Sakamoto, Bisei Spaceguard Center, have confirmed the variable object at mag 6.7 on an unfiltered CCD image taken with the 1.0-m f/3.0 reflector on Mar. 16.768, giving the object's position end figures as RA 12.52s, DEC 48'36.5"(2000). A red USNO-catalogued star is located at position end figures 12s.505, 48'36".69 (red mag 18.5). Guy M Hurst
