The comet is reported to have a strong central condensation and an extended 4 arc minute coma, with a slight extension to the southwest. J. Drummond, New Zealand, visually confirmed the comet at magnitude 9.5 using a 0.41-m reflector. The coma was moderately condensed. Samus, Institute of Astronomy, Russian Academy of Sciences, advises that this nova (cf TA E-Circular 2315, 2316 and EWC 182) has been given the designation V2467 Cyg.
